The pipe set as sold with unit will allow for good draw when set up as listed in set up sheet
and as seen in my set up youtube videos.
There is many things that can cause a back draft .
-Burning a slow punkie fire
-Wet wood
-Adding to large a wood to soon to a newly lit fire
-Not raking the coals forward when adding new wood to the fire
-Negitive pressure created by closing the air intake so small that the fire draws air down the stove pipe.
As seen most are operater error and can be solved by learning your stove by using and doing
Remember a stove is like a mule, dog or wife they are happist when attend to often.
So watch my youtube videos and learn and have fun !
