Does the baffle prevent the chimney from building up creosote?
I brought a homemade barrel stove to Colorado elk hunting last year and had to pull the chimney a couple of times - and I was burning oak. I thought maybe an insulated pipe would fix that or maybe the baffle would?

The baffel would help, the three main things it does is as follows;
1/ Safer, no direct flame up the chimmeny, bulit in spark arrester.
2/ More efficent, less wood burned, more heat
3/ Allows for a better wood burning cook stove.
The best way to reduce cresot is ;
